Oakley Real Estate
Oakley is an established neighborhood located southeast of downtown Asheville. It is a tight-knit community (socially and geographically) that was developed in the mid-1900s. Take a moment to get acquainted with this little gem.
The neighborhood lies between South and East Asheville and is accessible by several roads. It's featured here as one of Asheville's top three unique neighborhoods since it has various-styled houses, including ranches, cottages, and bungalows. There are roughly 2,000 homes, some original establishments, others renovated buildings, and others that are new construction. Modern homes can be found in pocket neighborhoods sprinkled throughout the area.

Oakley features affordable homes as well as sidewalks (a luxury not every neighborhood has). The average sale price in 2023 was roughly $350,000. As a community, neighbors are welcome to join the Oakley Neighborhood Association. A small but mighty bunch, the association focuses on keeping the neighborhood safe and welcoming. Some of the pocket neighborhoods also come with HOAs.
There are no shops or major businesses located within Oakley. However, there are recreational areas, including a baseball complex. People and cultures have places to gather, learn, and bond. Just up the road, residents can enjoy Biltmore Village, the gateway to the Biltmore Estate. The village is comprised of shops, restaurants, breweries, offices, and some art galleries, including the Asheville location of the Southern Highland Craft Guild.

Just a quick car ride east of Oakley are the bustling streets of East Asheville. Several shopping centers, big retail stores, grocery stores, and more restaurants and breweries exist. Visitors can easily access the Blue Ridge Parkway for an adventure throughout the Blue Ridge mountains or stop by the Western North Carolina Nature Center to meet some of Appalachia's native wild animals.
